CBSE Board Exams: New Date Sheets Released for Class 10 and Class 12

In a yet another announcement, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has finally released the date sheet for pending board exams for class 10th and 12th. As per the new CBSE board exams date sheet, the exams will be conducted from July 1 to 15, 2020.

Earlier, the board exams were postponed due to the nation-wide lockdown amidst coronavirus crisis. The class 10 exams were pending only for North-East Delhi.

The announcement was also made by Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal, Union Cabinet Minister for Human Resources Development on Twitter early on Monday. He also shared the images of the new CBSE date sheets on twitter: 

The exams will be held for 29 major papers. Class 12 students will take examinations for subjects including –Business Studies, Hindi (Core), Hindi (Elective), Geography, Home Science, Computer Science (Old), Computer Science (New), Sociology, Information Practice (Old), Information Practice (New), Information Technology and Bio-Technology.

Important Guidelines

The CBSE has also released some important guidelines regarding the board exams:

  • Students are advised to carry hand sanitizers in transparent bottles to the examination centers.
  • All students must cover their faces and noses with masks all the time.
  • Social distancing will be followed not just by the students but also by their parents or guardians.

Other essential details will be available on the admit cards and students are required to follow them strictly.

As far as results are concerned, they may be announced by the end of August after the evaluation process. However, no official statement has been made about that yet. Students can also visit the official website CBSE – cbse.nic.in – to get information on the exam.
